Shelter Hours and Directions

The Burlington County Animal Shelter is where the animals we volunteer our time with are located. The shelter is also where we hold our orientations for new volunteers.

• Monday & Thursday: 12pm - 7pm
• Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday: 12pm - 4pm
• Sundays & Holidays: closed

 

Volunteers may visit the shelter any time it is open to the public, plus a little extra. Volunteers should refer to their orientation papers for up-to-date volunteering times.

Directions from NJ north or south:

From NJ Turnpike:

• Take exit 5.
• Go to traffic light, make right onto Route 541.
• Go thru first traffic light.
• Take jughandle before next light to Woodlane Road.
• Make right at stop sign.
• Make right at second traffic light (Pioneer Blvd).
• Make left onto Academy Drive.
• Follow signs to Animal Shelter.

From Interstate 295:

• Take exit 45A.
• Make left at third traffic light (Irick Road).
• Make right at next traffic light (Woodlane Road).
• Make left at next traffic light (Pioneer Blvd).
• Make left on Academy Drive.
• Follow signs to Animal Shelter.
