Pets with Perks and Save A Senior programs

About the Pets with Perks Program

Pets With Perks are pets specially sponsored by Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter volunteers and other animal lovers. If you adopt a Pet With Perks, you go home with a $25 giftcard for pet supplies. All Pets With Perks have posters on their kennels to let people know they’re special.

We also include senior pets in this section. They're special also, but in a different way. Senior pets can be adopted at no cost to the adopter -- the Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter pays the adoption fee for senior pets for approved adopters.

Sponsor a Pet

Anyone can sponsor a shelter pet and help him or her get adopted. As a sponsor, you purchase the $25 gift card. Put the gift card in an envelope and write your name and the name and number of the animal you are sponsoring on the envelope. If you’re a volunteer, put the envelope in the top drawer of the black filing cabinet in the folder marked “Pets with Perks.” If you're not a volunteer, drop your envelope off at the shelter at the front desk and let them know it’s for the Pets with Perks Program.

Important: Email Dee M. at DeeZign@comcast.net when you drop off your gift card for a dog and email Dee L. at deeandlen@gmail.com when you drop off your gift card for a cat.

Sponsor a Senior

Anyone also can sponsor a senior pet through the Save A Senior program. You donate the adoption fee of $75 for a dog or $45 for a cat, which pays the adoption fee for an approved adopter. To sponsor a senior or for more information, email Alice at aliceparfitt4pets@gmail.com.
