Our first Paw Prints 5K was last April on the same day as our annual Barb Feldstein Memorial Raining Cats & Dogs Pet Fest at the Burlington County Animal Shelter.
It was so successful and everyone had so much fun that we decided to make the race a stand-alone event on the last Saturday in September at a new venue, beautiful Smithville Park in Eastampton.
And since we didn't want to wait more than a year to have another race, we're going to have two in 2017! The next Paw Prints 5K is Saturday, Sept. 30.
The event starts at 8 a.m. (race time is 9 a.m.). Registration is $25 for the 5K run or walk and $15 for the fun walk until Aug. 25. Registration prices go up after that.
There will be prizes for:
- top male and female overall finishers in the 5K run
- top male and female with a dog overall finishers in the 5K run
- top male and female finishers in the 5K run in the following age groups: 19 and under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 and over
